I-link can be seen as a digital serial interface which enables bi-directional communication of digital video- and audio data between devices which are equipped with i-Link connections. It can also play a role in controlling a device with an i-Link connection by a device with the same connection.

interlace 1) A method of refreshing the image on a computerscreen. This method refreshes only one half of all lines at the same time, first the even numbered lines, later the odd numbered lines, which causes the well known "flashing" of the screen. 2) A method to send picture data over the Internet. When a picture is interlaced, the following occurs: After one sixty-fourth of the picture is downloaded, you can see a general image of what the picture looks like. As more of the picture is downloaded, the resolution improves until the whole picture is displayed.
